Since 1983, MTA’s Human Relations Committee has reviewed
nominations and selected the recipients of the annual Human
and Civil Rights Awards. The annual HCR Awards Banquet,
attended by educators from across the state, honors those
who have shown extraordinary dedication to civil rights and
human relations. Honoring those who dedicate themselves to
equality for all is a proud tradition of the MTA.
Deadline for event registration is Friday, June 13.
Telephone reservations will NOT be accepted.
NEA TO SURVEY MTA MEMBERS
MTA members may be contacted by the NEA within the next
few weeks as part of a survey of the Massachusetts UniServ
program. Members who are asked to participate will receive
a message from firstname.lastname@example.org. They will be selected
at random. The assessment is consistent with NEA UniServ
guidelines adopted by the NEA Board of Directors on May
2, 2008. The NEA is required to assess each state affiliate’s
UniServ program at least once every six years.
