Recommends to amend by adding the word “fair”
before the word “coin” in the last sentence.
Recommends rejection of the proposed standing rule as
amended ( 35-16).
Impact statement: Proposed amendment would allow
candidates in a runoff election to elect to decide the
outcome by the toss of a coin.

“Nominations and Elections.” The present text is in the left column. Proposed revisions are indicated by bold text

Campaign Materials.” The present text is in the left column. Proposed revisions are indicated by bold text and

PRESENT TEXT:
Section 2 (h) The order of candidates’ names on a runoff
election ballot for majority and plurality elections will be
listed by the same order as the initial ballot.
Section 3 (a) All candidates shall be required to file
with the Credentials and Ballot Committee a complete
account of campaign expenditures within twenty-one
( 21) days after the Annual Meeting, on a form provided
by the Association.
(b) The Credentials and Ballot Committee shall certify
the receipt of these reports.
