Haven. Was a substitute teacher and
teaching assistant at the Tisbury
School and a middle school teacher at
the Edgartown School before retiring
in 2015. April 7.
Thomas P. Carrigan, Jr., 86,
of Brockton. Was a teacher and
administrator in the Brockton Public
Schools for his entire career. May 14.
Judith Cohen, 85, of Norwood.
Taught in Newton and Walpole for
30 years until her retirement in 1999.
Phyllis R. Cohen, 78, of Hanover.
Was an elementary school vocal
music teacher in the Marshfield Public
Schools for many years. May 1.
John F. Dowd, 75, of Saugus,
formerly of Somerville. Was a teacher
and coach for 40 years at the Northeast
Metropolitan Regional Vocational
School. April 24.
Margaret C. Duren, 89, of
Franklin. Taught in the Franklin Public
Schools for 27 years and in Mendon
for 10 years. June 14.
Sonja Gullbrand, 86, of
Worcester. Was an elementary educator
in the Worcester Public Schools for
28 years until her retirement in 1994.
Constance C. Harris, 88, of
Wakefield. Was a teacher in the
Wakefield Public Schools for 30 years.
Taught fourth grade in the Quincy
Public Schools until her retirement in
1990. May 8.
Nancy J. Katin, 78, of Dracut.
Was an elementary teacher at the
Greenmont Avenue School until she
retired. May 1.
Thomas F. Kennedy, Jr., 92,
of Westfield. Was a teacher in the
Westfield Public Schools. He later was
an office manager for the MTA until
his retirement in 1984. June 12.
Leslie S. Kiely, 66, of
Swampscott. Was a physical education
teacher for the Swampscott Public
Schools for more than 30 years.
She coached middle school field
hockey and started the Friday night
middle school basketball program in
Swampscott. May 19.
Patricia Taylor Lambert, 88, of
Exeter, New Hampshire. Taught in the
Brookline Public Schools for many
years. April 5.
Ann P. McSweeney, 77, of
Watertown. Was a teacher in the Hull
Public Schools. April 22.
Clare F. Murphy, 71, of Newton
and Yarmouth Port. Was a teacher in
the Brockton Public Schools for 35
years. May 14.
Joan Pieroni, 79, of Prescott
Valley, Arizona, and Woburn. Taught
in the Everett Public Schools for 34

Violet V. Salem, 99, of Grafton.

schools in West Virginia, Virginia and
