MTA members gathered on Dec. 1 for a Reimagining Bargaining Summit in Framingham.
The conference was planned and facilitated by a committee of MTA educators spanning
the public education spectrum, from prekindergarten through higher education.
Workshops delved into topics such as building union strength in the aftermath of the
U.S. Supreme Court’s Janus decision and organizing around issues that benefit students,
educators and the community. Marilyn Schneiderman, at left, a Rutgers University
professor and an expert in bargaining for the common good, spoke as MTA President
Merrie Najimy and Vice President Max Page listened.
